Reject Home & Water Taxes – Vote NO

The Campaign Against Household And Water Taxes is calling for a No vote on 31 May to the Austerity Treaty.

This treaty, if passed, demands savage austerity measures in the form of over six billion euros of extra taxes and cutbacks. This will inevitably mean a massive hike in home and water taxes. Vote No!

The Government will use a “Yes” vote to claim that it has a mandate for its austerity agenda. A “No” vote will disprove that argument and weaken the government. It sends them a loud and clear message – we will not pay your home and water taxes, you have no mandate for austerity. Vote No!

From France, to Greece and all across Europe, people are rejecting austerity for one simple reason – it has failed. So why write it into law? Vote No!

The Yes side is lying about access to a second so-called ‘bailout’, just like it lied about jobs before the second Lisbon vote. Reject their lies and blackmail. Vote No!

If the 50% of people and their families who boycotted the Household tax vote no, this Austerity Treaty will be defeated. Vote No!
