Phil Hogan ‘greeted’ in Portmarnock

As Phil Hogan emerges from the bunker he was kept in during the referendum campaign, the CAHWT has met him with protests.

CAHWT activists from Dublin north east, north and west greeted Phil Hogan this morning in Portmarnock as he arrived to give Fingal a blue flag for its beaches (important Ministerial job). Despite driving rain and wind, two entrance points were covered by protestors. As an added bonus, the Fingal county manager and an array of councillors were also greeted. Minister Hogan finally arrived after a month in his referendum bunker. His driver saw fit to drive straight off the main road into Portmarnock golf club, scuffing the knee of one protester on the way.

Next Monday campaigners plan another protest at Fingal Council at 5pm as Cllr Matt Waine has a motion down calling for no prosecution of non-payers of the household tax.
