Campaigners against the property tax have condemned government “spin and intimidation aimed at trying to force people to pay the property tax” and said that it is clear that huge numbers of people are prepared to resist the threats and refuse to pay the tax.

A weekly Saturday morning picket commenced this morning on the constituency office of Fine Gael’s Pat Deering the Carlow/Kilkenny TD. Around 50 people were in attendance along with massive passing support. Five or six members of the campaign entered the TD’s office at the start to voice their disapproval at his actions since being elected. He hasn’t been willing to listen over the past year...
